tŪhono Brand Identity Development
A new brand identity for this iwi affiliation service was developed. We worked with artist Derek Lardelli from Ngati Porou to distill the brand essence of Tūhono. The concept of Te Pae Tawhiti, or standing on the horizon to realise Māori aspirations, is represented visually on the collateral. The graphic elements that express the brand – pou, ararau and manaia – are used in a subtle layering effect with the key aspirational words that represent Tuhono.
