Don Smith is Group General Manager of Communication Arts while Patrick McKibbin is our General Manager Client Services based in Wellington, and Jim Davenport, Design Director, and Jim Carter, Operations Manager, together lead the Auckland office.
Don SMith
Group General Manager
Don has recently stepped into the role of leading CommArts as well as continuing with strategic development for the Datamail Group. He ensures that the Group's business units are appropriately sized, structured and resourced to maximize growth in key markets. Prior to joining Datamail, Don was a business consultant to major corporates such as NZ Post and Westpac. He has also worked in a number of senior strategic development roles, including General Manager, Corporate and eBusiness Strategy at National Australia Group, Melbourne.
patrick mckibbin
GM client service, wellington
Patrick focuses on the end to end service needs of our clients from sales experience to day-to-day service delivery, through Wellington’s account managers and production teams. Patrick has senior marketing and sales experience gained most recently through New Zealand Post, including responsibility for client facing account managers looking after large corporate and government clients.
david boyd

David is Communication Arts' Creative Director, leading the Wellington Studio. David has a background in brand strategy and design with over 15 years experience at leading design agencies both in New Zealand and overseas. During this time David has developed his strategic and leadership skills, managing large studios and developing creative work across print, digital media and signage for a range of corporate and government clients.

Christina has extensive supply chain expertise in business analysis, process improvement, logistics and third party relations. These capabilities see Christina focusing on continuous improvement in our sourcing, performance management, and e-enablement capability. Prior to Communication Arts, Christina was Major Project Procurement Advisor at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.

Jim manages the design studio in Auckland and has ten years experience in corporate communications. Jim has been with Communication Arts for three years and is passionate about brand identity and the power of brand. He likes to work closely with his clients to push the creative process in order to achieve inspirational communications that make an impact with the target audience.
jim carter
operations manager, auckland
Jim has many years of print industry experience, with the past 23 years spent in management roles for prepress production facilities, advertising agencies & an internet technology company. Jim’s technical print and prepress knowledge, coupled with his studio experience and understanding of the print market, make him a valuable source of industry knowledge.
